Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and S106 Funding

The Town Council receives contributions from the Selby District Council in the form of a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and S106 funding which allows local authorities to fund infrastructure by charging on new development in their area. Money raised will go towards the costs of infrastructure projects within the Town.

CIL and S106 contributions can be spent by the Town council on the provision, improvement, replacement, operation or maintenance of infrastructure (such as open spaces, village halls, leisure facilities, schools etc.) or anything else that is concerned with addressing the demands that development places on an area.

Applications can be received by the Council and will be considered by The Finance and General Purposes Committee at the next appropriate meeting so that payment can be made to applicants accordingly.
