Car Park Mapping Workshop
Published: 05 January 2022
Dear friend,
I'm pleased to be able to invite to an event at The Barn, Tadcaster this Saturday 2.00pm – 4.00pm which will attempt to develop some positive ideas/responses to the ongoing debate over future carparking in the town centre in the light of the Selby Local Plan's proposals for the development of the town.
We know that the next iteration of the Local Plan ('Publication Draft') and associated consultation will not take place until after the May local government elections, so we have a window of opportunity to develop a town-led set of proposals that can feed into the draft potentially, or at the very least show the forward planning team at Selby what the views of the town are?
The event will be facilitated by myself as Chair of the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group and is intended to work positively in identifying potential locations and capacity for carparking in the town centre that can support the existing and hopefully growing business community. It is not an opportunity to debate the pros and cons of the proposals in the current version of the Local Plan.
So, if you would like to participate, please just turn up on the day - and please bring along anyone else who you think may be interested - it is not an exclusive meeting by any means!
